Dr Jennifer – Vet

Growing up as a Sydney-sider, Dr Jen moved interstate to undertake her postgraduate studies in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Melbourne. She is now back on Sydney soil joining the Love That Pet team as a Veterinarian.

What do you love most about your job?

The fact that it doesn’t feel like a job. Being able to follow my dreams in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine means that I not only get to help better the lives of the pets I see but also thoroughly enjoy it as well.

Do you have any pets of your own?

I have a spoilt grey-tabby cat, named Hayley, adopted from a rescue in rural Victoria. After falling in love with the fluff-ball whilst on student placement, she found herself on a plane and now lives with me in Sydney.

When you’re not working with animals, what are you doing?

I would probably be lounging around at home (not going to lie) or hanging with family and friends exploring new places to eat and drink.

What’s your favourite spot in Sydney?

Macquarie’s Point where it on-looks the Harbour Bridge and Opera House – especially at night when it is all lit up.

One interesting fact about you that people probably don’t know?

I voluntarily got bitten by a python and on another occasion an eel, just because.
